THE POWER OF POSITIVE THINKING!!

Today I was visiting with my niece who lives outside Huntsville, Alabama.  She was recounting the experiences she and her family had this week as a result of the tornados.  She told how the alarm went off, heavy rains and hail pursued, the trampoline in the yard was reduced to twisted metal, her daughter's school was destroyed, and yet she gathered up the children and her husband, got them all dressed and while all of them were sitting in the closet, she was telling me about how she was putting on her make up for the day.  Now that is positive thinking in the midst of a terrible storm of life and tragedy all around.

How often are we in the midst of so much tragedy and terrible events and rather than being positive about it or getting ready for the day no matter what we sit around and mope, gripe, malign, and almost curse our existence.  I would like for you to think about and comment about how we all might learn a lesson from my niece and reorder our lives, get our priorities more in line with the plan that God has for each of us, and make a difference of attitude and action to all those around us.  Now, tell me what you think!!

THE WORLD IS IN A BIG MESS

Today as I read the Dallas Morning News, I was struck by all the problems in the world, the debates of running those folk down who are trying to make a difference, especially is they are on the other side of the debate, natural disasters, wars and rumors of wars, famine, pestilence, and world wide medical problems like Aids and Malaria.  It seems to me that what the world is crying out for and certainly try's to deny in every way is Jesus Christ!  We as Christians must NOW take a stand for our faith.  Not the church form of Christianity but the form that is brought about because of a personal relationship with Jesus Christ.  I mean the life and world changing form of Christianity.  If we don't, then some negative false religion and God will fill the vaccum.  What do you think?
